An ideal gift to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Fr Kakuba's priesthood came from the Kampala Rotary Club: a Family Health Day for the Kanyike villagers!
Twelve hours of extra medical help and advice were provided on 5th August, 2016. Many doctors, nurses and counsellors (all Kampala Rotary members) joined Kanyike Project staff to treat those who came to this special outreach day.
Sr Joan was there and was completely overwhelmed by the continuous stream of people, from babies in their mothers’ arms to older people being helped to climb the hilly terrain.
Nearly 400 people were helped, thanks to the generosity of Kampala Rotary Club.
